Pictures showed a grounded cable, but the one I got didn't have that. This would be illegal in Sweden I think:

This is how it looks inside, mains wiring is just a couple a mm away from metal housing. I would never dare to use this as is:

I took a rotary tool and cut away some paint for the safer connection to ground:

Then I took a proper grounded cable ( I have tons of these lying around):

Cut and stripped to length:

Desoldered and discarded old cable. Threaded through new cable, attached a connector to ground and screwed it down:

Then just soldered the new cables in place and added a cable tie for pulling relief:

That's better:
